What is your general reflection on the lesson?
The main concept of this lesson is to teach children joyfully. The teacher is teaching students counting and animals with pictures, which is a quite creative approach. Then the teacher played a game with the students, which is also a very good approach for the learning process. I think that learning is a process of joy and creativity, so the way the teacher was using to teach is the best approach.
What do you think are the strong sides of the lesson?
I believe that the strengths of the lesson lie in the utilization of images and games within the learning process. The use of images not only aids in visualizing concepts for students but also enhances comprehension. Incorporating games into the curriculum not only fosters a playful learning environment but also provides an interactive and engaging approach, particularly beneficial for children. These elements collectively contribute to a more effective and enjoyable learning experience.
What error correction strategies does the teacher apply?
The teacher employs two distinct approaches for corrections:
-
In instances where a student provides an incorrect answer, the teacher engages the entire class by posing the question again, prompting other students to offer the correct response.
-
Alternatively, the teacher employs a second strategy by rephrasing the question when a student provides an erroneous answer. This repetition is aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of the underlying concept within the student.
What could have been done better?
There were some children who were not looking at the teacher, so I believe that the teacher should ensure that every student is paying attention
How does the teacher use the visual aids?
The teacher uses pictures of animals to teach English vocabulary to the children
